GAMBARAN PEMILIHAN BAHAN PANGAN SUMBER PROTEIN PASCA PEMBERITAAN PENYALAHGUNAAN FORMALIN DALAM BAHAN MAKANAN DI KECAMATAN MEDAN TUNTUNGAN

ABSTRACT
Incidence of formalin issues in protein food-stuff could increase of malnutrition prevalence especially Protein Energy Malnutrition to affect degradation of human resource in Indonesia. This research purpose explained society behavior in chosening protein source food after news formalin issues in food-stuff. It was a descriptive survey with cross sectional design. Amount of sample in this research was 60 respondens in compilation of household menu in Medan Tuntungan Subdistrict. The result of research indicated the decreasing frequency of protein source food after news formalin issues in food-stuff. This research can be expected for database and reference materials in effort improve awareness of society about compilation of well-balanced menu to prevent malnutrition because of it news influence and decrease malnutrition prevalence.
